Perfect, I buy these same strap locks everytime I buy a guitar. Since I got a new guitar needed to order a set! I love how you can quick release the strap and take it off if you're just sitting and don't want the strap on. Haven't had one fail on me yet in 15 years or so I've been using them

I've got two sets of them - one for each guitar. I have a Gibson Les Paul and an Ovation electric/acoustic. Works great for me. Adds a little "bling" to the strap. Quick and easy to attach and remove. I have confidence that my guitars are secure with them. These strap locks are low profile, something that may be important if your guitar and its case are a tight fit. OR, if you're shopping for a guitar case, you're going to want a low profile design like these have. Otherwise, strap locks might not fit or they might damage the inside of the case.Are these actually real gold??? These seem to be a bit pricey to me. I’ve been using Jim Dunlop Straploks for close to 30 years now and I still swear by them. Every one of my guitars has the strap buttons installed, probably around 20 guitars at this point. One of the nice things is you can buy the buttons separately, so you only need one or two straps and can swap them between guitars in seconds. You can also still use any strap without the Dunlop strap system.They lock in solid and give a lot of peace of mind, especially with heavier guitars. I honestly couldn’t tell you how many times they’ve saved one of my guitars from hitting the floor, but I’m sure it’s been dozens over the years.They’re one of those products you install once and never really think about again because they just work. For me they’ve become standard equipment on every guitar I own.

I was not confident that my new strap would stay put on my new guitar so found these and their great reviews to steer me correctly. Install was very easy, just go slow installing the mount studs. I was able to wax the screws and get them home without adding the fear of a drill slip. My new Les Paul Red Widow is good to go and the locks natural pivot movements make sliding over my head that much easier. Money spent only once if you choose these.

I've been using straploks for a long time. They usually work well and have a long life span. Recently I installed a pair on a resonator guitar. The end pin lock failed after a couple years. This is the first time this ever happened. The post that inserts into the guitar fitting started slipping out. I examined the posts and they seemed to be ok. I bought a replacement set and that failed after a year. The best that I can figure is that the interior of the guitar fitting section (strap peg part) wore out, becoming less snug, and no longer held the post in place.If you play out a lot and use straploks, I suggest that you replace your Dunlops every year or so to be sure that your guitar doesn't fall. Well there's quite a bit about these that I enjoy, and most of all is how quickly I installed them. Now I put these on an Ibanez, which is a Japanese guitar and is of course made to different specifications than American instruments. That being said, it seems like any guitar that has holes that are too small for this won't require too extensive or severe of a drilling. I'll update this review as I load more of these systems onto different guitars as a courtesy to anyone on the fence about how much work this might require. It's understandable to be a bit reluctant to do something as permanent as drilling a larger hole into a guitar that you consider precious, but have faith in these locks.
