I was loving it at first, but it didn’t last long! I have only had it for a few months and it has stopped working. it is just not reliable. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t. I have done everything that I’ve read on it to fix the problem. I left for two days and the food was not dispensed. Thank goodness my kitty is smart enough and she knew where her bag was so she was able to open it and feed herself. You would hope that these would be reliable, especially when you just bought it.

I purchased this feeder on December of 2021 today is March of 2026 and I think it gave his last, so it lasted 4 years and a half but here is our honest review on it.It gets the job done I mean it definitely feed that cats. We travel a lot so this was a must for us but for some reason we were always fearing that it was never fully working. Why? The time changed on itself all the time. This automatic feeder was originally purchased because we had a trip out of town for the weekend and we just got our cats from a rescue. I would highly recommend this for people with one to two cats most times cats don’t like to eat the same bowl, but my cats are pretty chill and will share or just come down at different times.ProseAssembly was pretty straightforward and easy the food I buy really works with the distribution during the lot at times they have a total of seven times a day that they can be fed and you can portion out those feedings differently for each time. I try to give my cats wet food in the morning, but allow them to eat throughout the day with four other feedings until midnight. EDIT: these are so horrible, just don’t get them. I’ve had to make cubbies to put them in, use rolls of duct tape, tape things to them, just so my cats can’t unlock it and feed themselves. Part of that is my fault just because I have a smart cat but omg the fact that a cat can even unlock the touch screen is just insane. Why would they make it so sensitive like that? I’m losing my sleep and mind and I’ll probably be replacing these due to that. I hate them.Idk what possessed the manufacturer in order to make the buttons so effing sensitive but it’s endlessly frustrating. My cats are smart and figured out how to unlock the feeder because the touch screen thing is way too sensitive. We feed our cat dry food in the AM, and wanted an auto-feeder so she wouldn’t associate us with breakfast and wake us up with meowing. We didn’t need wifi, cameras, or anything else that could break or malfunction or complicate things - just a feeder where we could set the time and the portion size, so this fit the bill.Pros:• It was easy to set up the clock and set schedules and portion sizes while following along with the manual.• I also like that pretty much every piece that touches the food can be washed including the container and the silo that pushes the food out. You have to wipe out the chute manually since it’s attached to the electronic part which is no big deal.• It runs without the batteries in, but I like the battery option for going away just in case the power ever went out …

Okay so I have three cats that all need their own specific portions: 2 female kitties that could binge until they pop and a grazer male that has learned how to make the best of a feeding schedule.My kitties are conditioned to eat in separate areas of the house at 6 am and 6pm more or less. My picture shows this feeder on a raised tray, but that’s not something that came with the feeder, just so you know.I’ve had this feeder for about a week now & it’s great. I use it for my cat. Honestly, my only issue is the need to precisely line up part #5, the tank base, in order to turn it & lock it back into place when reassembling it. I disassembled it easily enough for washing, but it took me some serious time to get it aligned properly when reassembling it. You REALLY need to look at it to understand which direction it has to be inserted, & to know the proper placement of it, BEFORE turning it in the right direction to lock it back into place. So pay attention! Go slow & make sure you’ve got it so you don’t force it & break anything.I like that the food is sealed within the food …
