Good fit even for a dashound.

I have many of these Pawtitas harnesses for my dogs. They are well-made, comfortable for them and while my pups still have a collar, for leash time be it for walks or in the car, they have harnesses. Personal anecdote, my late beloved dog and I would go hiking during COVID almost every day and with the wide selection of colors available, we could coordinate and be matchy matchy. Silly for sure but I enjoyed it. I miss him terribly but the photos I have of us out on the trails looking so happily coordinated bring a smile to my face. Highly recommended. Peace, love and paws.

I have purchased several sets of these dog harnesses over the past several years. They hold up very well even against my dogs pulling. My issue with these harnesses is the velcro. It seems that even after moderate use the velcro stops sticking. Most of the time I find random pieces of velcro to attach in order to keep from needing to purchase another harness. I’ve spent way too much on these harnesses, so I can’t give them 5 stars.

We bought the XXS.In the first photo, our puppy was 3 lbs and it hung a little loose on her and her front paws would slip through and get caught when playing. So we stuck with a collar.In the second photo, she was about 4.5 lbs and the harness fit great!In the third photo, is current and she’s 6lbs and we still love it!It never comes off and she loves to run and play, it’s very easy to put on and I’m sure it’ll fit her well for a while as she grows. We only take it off at night when she sleeps. Her seresto collar is on too and it doesn’t get in the way. But very much worth it!

This is a pretty well made harness for the price, however I ended up returning one of the two I purchased for my dogs. Like other reviews say, they run SMALL. I ordered a small for my 7 pound chihuahua because the measurements were perfect. It's WAAAAAAY too tight, and if we walk at all it chokes him. I can't even do the velcro at all. So I returned it and ended up getting another brand for him because they didn't have a size bigger available in the color I wanted for him. The one I got for my 16 pound dog fits fine, although I honestly could've gotten him the size bigger as well. I'm happy enough with it for him so I'm still giving the harness 4 stars. Although I did mark it down for comfort and stretch. There's NO stretch. And no real padding, so the tight neck on the smaller one made …

Review #1: I think this was the nicest of the 8 or so harnesses my puppy has had so far. It was a nice fit and weight and I especially liked the color. I think he just outgrew this one instead of chewing it off. The one he has on now I've already patched because it's loose enough to get his teeth under.Review #2: This is my second purchase of this item. It is a great harness but you should know it runs small compared to other brands. My 55 pound Aussie is now in an XL which is snug. The larges are usually loose on him (which is how he chewed through 2 of them yesterday). I like that it's snug because he can't chew it off but if it starts digging into his front legs I'll have to order a different brand.

I honestly very rarely take the time to review an item here on Amazon, but I feel it’s important to do so with this item considering you’re obviously reading this if you’re looking for a good harness for your dog’s safety (the most important thing).First, I will only recommend this particular harness for XS-M sized dogs. I say this based on my preference because the mesh of the harness is thinner than I anticipated...*almost* to the point maybe it feels slightly flimsy, despite most mesh is of course. So personally I might feel hesitant to have a larger and stronger dog wear this, but that’s me. I feel it could have a few more layers of mesh and still be breathable and comfortable.
