I have ordered these smart outlets several times. The least expensive ones I've found that support Homekit. They are easy to set up and deploy around the house for various lamps/switches.I've used other outlets that are not homekit enabled without success.I have recommended these to several people who have the same positive feedback. Definitely my go to smart outlet.

I’m writing this review as a review reader, which is why I’m surprised I’m returning this product and writing a negative review. I’ve only owned it for a month and two days.This product was a complete letdown. Despite the positive reviews, I had high expectations and believed it would be reliable and good quality. However, my experience was far from that.In reality, setting it up directly via Apple Home is very annoying and time consuming.I initially set up the outlets using Apple Home, which inexplicably consumed an hour of awkwardly attempting to scan the Apple Home barcodes on the bottom of all the switches that needed to be plugged in for it to function. Even then, the Apple Home app took an incredibly long time to properly configure itself each time I needed to add an outlet. But …

I love these Meross Smart Plug Mini outlets. At this point I have around fifteen of them running throughout my house and they have been overall very stable. For the price the value is fantastic. When you compare the cost to some of the bigger name brands it is hard to justify spending more when these perform just as well in everyday use. I do use two other brands of smart outlets too, however those are one-offs. One is a Z-Wave outlet and the other is another WiFi one. The only feature that the other brand has that this doesn't is it shows the electricity usage which is kind of nice. I sometimes wish these had that, but isn't enough for me to start using another brand.I run a separate IoT network in my home so these plugs are isolated from the rest of my devices. Customer support is excellent. Two of my plugs went bad after a year and they worked with me through email support to try and get it resolved. I could not get them to connect after doing all the stuff asked of me: reboot, reset, update everything including my wifi and iOS. Next thing I got was an email saying they would mail out two new ones to me.!! Took two days and I had them connected and working.Connecting and setup took a few tries though. One was immediate and the other took a few tries but it did eventually connect and set up using Apple HomeKit. I could get it setup in the Meross app but then couldnt figure out how to transfer ti over to HomeKit so I reset the plug(holding the power button for 5 seconds till it cycled) and it then worked with the HomeKit. I recently purchased the Meross Smart Plug Mini, and I have to say, I'm thoroughly impressed with this product. Not only does it offer an impressive range of features, but it's also incredibly reliable and stable within my HomeKit network.One of the things I love most about this smart plug is how easy it was to set up. All I had to do was download the Meross app, connect the plug to my Wi-Fi network, and voila - it was ready to use. From there, I was able to control the plug using the app, as well as through Siri, Alexa, Echo, Google Assistant, and Nest Hub. Pro:size - two plugs easily fit in a standard double outlet and on standard size power strip (on compact strips you would still be able to fit a two-prong plug next to it.) This is a huge improvement over the old TP-link plug that took up 2 spaces on my power strip even when it was placed on the top (see picture.)Operation & Integration - once connected the plug just work. I quickly forgot that they weren't always there; waiting for my command. I can turn off all the lights in the house from the iphone flip-up screen.Installation - Like a lot of Meross products, the plug has EZ mode and AP mode. I started my home automation journey several years ago with the purchase of a number of Wemo light plugs and switches. This was a great initial start but as I transitioned to HomeKit I needed another solution. Wemo introduced their HomeKit bridge which served as a temporary solution until I could find a way to transition to native HomeKit in a cost effective manner.Recently I discovered the Meroos Smart Plug Mini, 16A plug, on Amazon and was impressed with their compact size and that the plugs provided HomeKit as well as Alexa, Echo, Google Assistant compatibility at a very affordable price. I did not hesitate ordering first a 2 pack and then a follow up 3 pack of the plugs to upgrade my HomeKit system.The Meroos plugs are a great value and work fully as advertised with respect to HomeKit.
