Very disappointed with this product, it is the 3rd harness that I buy saying it is "escape proof", I have a cat, not a bird! All cats when they get excited I don't know how they get so flexible and escape from the harness, and just in case I bought the correct size. At this point I don't think there's a "escape proof" harness for cats!

This is a great cat harness. My cat weighs 15 pounds and I get a Medium for him. I feel confident taking him for walk in this harness. The velcro does wear out, but I walk my cat daily and it lasts for a couple of years before I purchase a new harness. It is easy to put on the cat. I have purchased one than one of these harnesses and will continue to use the style. I highly recommed it!

I ordered this because my kitten is so curious and likes to be outside in her carrier sometimes. As soon as I put this on my kitten, she refused to walk, I made sure her paws were not restricted and she could move in it. Unfortunately, she refused to move. Lol. She just looked up at me and collapsed right onto her side. The only way she was moving is if I was dragging her across a slippery floor. I refuse to do that to my baby. However if your cat is used to these, it's a great deal and I think it would fit comfortably.

I love this harness, and so does my cat. My cat has never escaped from it; however, cats are magical escape artists who can use their Houdini skills to get out of anything. Still, I can say that I haven't had this problem with this harness. It took me about two weeks to get my feral rescue turned indoor cat used to the harness. I did this inside the house and in enclosures where she couldn't escape, just in case. We ventured outside once she got used to it, and she loved it. I don't leave her alone one bit, because of course she's a cat!! Nevertheless, this harness/ vest works wonderfully, and I feel she is safely secure to go outside for a stroll without me stressing about a potential escape. Also, the pink color looks super cute!!

It was so hard finding accessories that would fit my 2.5lb. Pomeranian puppy. Collars and harnesses were always too big. Then I found this harness, thanks to another review I decided to give the XS size a shot. The XS was still a bit loose ( which was expected since his chest was smaller than the measurements shown) but since it was the smallest of all the harnesses I looked at I didn't mind. I used it at first just to get him use to wearing it, and keeping him secure in both the car and his stroller. After he finished all his vaccinations his chest measured close to 7" and it was finally snug enough to go for walks.This harness has breathable material which is great to keep long haired dogs cool in this heat. Bought this for our cat. Got a pink one for her. Originally ordered a small (she is 9lbs) that was delivered the next day, but it was to small. So I did proper measurements and according to the page, I should have ordered a medium. Totally my fault. The company made it extremely easy to return. So easy that the day I received my first one, I ordered the proper one and received it the next day. It fit perfect so measure first! We use this daily cause our cat loves coming outside when I garden. She walks around the yard and plays but it does give me the piece of mind that she isn’t climbing a tree or jumping the fence. We haven’t used the leash much cause she does great without it. We have since got another cat so will be ordering one for him too and I recommended this to my mom for her cat.

When I say this thing changed my cat’s LIFE. He always tried to get outside when we’d open the door, he was so jumpy and fast and crazy. So I got him this so I could take him for walks to get some energy out. He hated the harness on the first day, but the second day we put it on him, he was a different cat. This was a week and a half ago and he won’t let us take it off. He doesn’t get scared anymore, he doesn’t knock anything off the counter, he doesn’t pee outside the box, he doesn’t get scared and zoom around anymore. He loves to cuddle and snuggle and nap. My cat loves this after working with her about a week! The velcro makes it much easier to get on. This isn't escape-proof! Even with it snug my cat has backed out of the harness if the leash is pulled from her front, so I'd never trust it completely and never leave her alone even for a minute. It doesn't have a handle, but it is sturdy enough to grab and pick up your cat one-handed in a hurry. I got the medium and it's working great for my 7-month old, 8 pound cat, and she has room to grow into it. Probably too big though for a younger/smaller cat.
