I got this Amjdcoe Portable Espresso Maker for Nespresso Original pods because I wanted a way to make coffee while traveling without needing a power outlet or access to hot water. The main appeal for me was that it takes capsules and can heat the water on its own, which sounded like a great way to avoid the usual challenges of portable brewing.In practice, the experience was a bit disappointing. It only pulls espresso quantities, so there are no lungo shots available, which is a bummer. The biggest issue is the time it takes to get a single shot and the fact that the battery needs to be recharged every few uses. The charging process is slow, making it pretty inconvenient. Very difficult to use.

Works very well. Espresso gets very hot and tastes great.It's very simple to use and clean. It takes about 7 minutes if you use room temperature water, so it Brees a little slow but totally worth it. I love how compact and small it is! I can put it in the cabinet with the cups. I love espresso but the machine is so big it was never worth it. This is absolutely tiny!

I was excited to receive this portable coffee maker and really wanted to like it. Sadly, I can't say it is going to be something I'll take with me on trips. First off, when you can get it to work, the amount of coffee is very minimal, as it doesn't seem to utilize all the water in the reservoir upon extraction. If you use your own ground coffee, you must carefully adjust the coarseness and tamp it down just right, otherwise you will end up with just weak brown water. I other words, the unit is very finicky. When I used the capsules from the grocery store, I wasted two or three before I realized I had to severely tighten dow the cap in order for the tiny tabs to puncture the foil seal on the capsules (see my photos). My final assessment is this little unit is not a recommend from me.

I didn't know something like this existed. Portable espresso machine? Then when I saw it, I had doubts about how great it would work, but thought I'd give it a shot. Glad I did!This can use the espresso pods or you can use your own fine ground coffee. You can add warm water and make yourself iced coffee or just got the button twice and it'll heat up the water to brew you a great cup of hot espresso. Even has a built in cup. What's not to love about this thing. You can take it anywhere, it's compact and fits in your overnight bag or backpack.

This is a 5 star espresso maker, as soon as you figure out how to work it. On my 5th try i made a perfect shot of espresso and now i know how to replicate it, it will continue to make perfect shots.Step one: Run hot water through this with no coffee grounds or capsules. My first try provided a shot of water even though i had put coffee in it. You only have to do this on the first time, after that it makes espresso.Step two: "lightly tamping" the espresso grounds means just that. I pressed too hard and got grounds in my cup, but i did get espresso, so i call that a win.Step three: when using a capsule, they say "press firmly to puncture the capsules bottom" well they also say to invert it. Confused, i punctured the "top" because it was on the bottom. They mean the capsule's bottom as in …

Great travel espresso maker - compact, reliable, and surprisingly powerful.I bought this for a trip to my parents’ house since they only have a regular coffee maker and I’ve recently become an espresso person. I have never owned a portable espresso/coffee machine. I must say that this product exceeds my expectations. I use the small Nespresso pods (espresso) and when I travel there is normally no way to make the espresso coffee. This is a gem for me to be able to bring it with me and have my coffee with no inconvenience. It works great.
